 September 15 & 16, 2012 The Kearney Area Builders Association is proud to announce that the 2012 Parade of Homes/Tour of Remodelers Homes will be September 15th &16th. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday we are open noon to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available at Showcase Cabinets/Jacobi's Carpet One, Designer Craft, Garrett Tires, Treads & Appliances for $4.00 and the day of at the door of each Parade home for $5.00. If you are a builder and are interested in putting a home on the Parade or a builder with a completed remodel project please call the KABA office at 236-5151. The cost is $300 (early bird registration) or $400 (after July 30th) for a Parade Home or $150 (early bird registration) or $200 (after July 30th) for a remodel. You must be a member of KABA to place a home on the Parade and a remodel on the Tour. Membership dues are $360 annually. My builders are trying to keep in compliance with OSHA. So instead of building today, they are sitting in the seminar listening to Great Plains Safety and Health tell them how to comply. There seems to be some grumbling but very little so far. Mick is talking about the harnesses with shock absorbers. Belts are outlawed...they will cut you in half. He still picks them up off job sites. Scary.
